365 Cards #311/312

356 Cards is doing pretty pairs this week... I was a bit behind, but have now caught up on myself *g*

Thursday's Pretty Pair was Damask and Pink and here is my card:

I used paper from my new Best Of K & Company Too block - the damask pattern is very subtle, but it's there - and embossed the top part of the card with cuttlebug swiss dots folder. The ribbon is from my stash. The flowers, petaloo colour me crazy, one of them coloured with promarkers rose pink. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up teeny tiny sentiments.

I have never done sympathy cards 'in advance' of needing them before, but I recently needed one in a hurry and just didn't have time to make one, so I realised it was probably smart to keep a few in stock.

Friday's Pretty Pair was Checkerboard and Black and here is my card:

The checkerboard is cut card stock, the image is printed and 'coloured' with promarkers - the dots look annoyingly pink the picture but are actually red - the button is from my stash with a bit of tied wool looped into a bow, it's actually 'back to front' because I liked the back better :) and the sentiment is again from Stampin' Up teeny tiny sentiments
