9 Months on the Inside

I came across the stamp and sentiment recently while tootling about on Bugaboo and I just had to get it! I've coloured it with promarkers: vanilla, blush, cornflower, denim blue, china blue, lipstick red and pastel pink.

The paper is from a craft magazine (I think crafts beautiful...) and it's layered on textured card from papermania. I used ribbon, an embellishment I've had laying around in a drawer for aaaaaaages and a few gems, to embellish.

Less Is More: Week 99-100

This weeks/fortnights challenge on "Less Is More" was 'drinks' - well my favourite drink is coffee, so I pulled out an image from the cutting cafe and made this quick card. The paper is a freebie from crafts beautiful magazine a few months ago and I layered on black card, adding a few gems to finish.

I used papers I got in cardmaking and papercraft magazine and an image from pollycraft. Most of it I coloured using pencils, except her skin, which I used promarkers for: almond, blush and soft peach.

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC83

This week CAS-ual Fridays is teaming up with the 10 Minute Craft Dash for a holiday themed card made in just 10 minutes!

I was mildly alarmed when I saw this, only 10 minutes to make a card?! Erk! But it turned out to be both harder and easier than I thought. In the end, I managed to do it with only about 15 seconds to spare on my countdown *but* about 3 mins was just placing the gems (lost my regular tweezers had to use others *head desk*).

It was incredibly easy to make. I sponged in a circle of goldy-yellow, stamped the image from Hot of the Press and sentiment from papermania, finishing with gems. I rushed a bit on the sentiment so 'greetings' isn't perfectly placed, but otherwise, I rather like it. I might have tied a bit of twine around the top but I've used a lot lately so need to buy some more!

White Christmas

I used an image from cornish heritage farms for this card and kept it extremely basic. I mounted the image on some card, sponged in a very light sky, then coloured only the clothes, christmas tree and a bit of yellow in some of the windows with pencils before adding the glitter on all the roofs, trees and road and finished it with a sentiment from papermania.

I'm submitting this to:
- Craft A Scene - winter scene
- Craftyhazelnuts Christmas Challenge #104 - Anything Goes for Christmas
- Crafty Calender Challenge - White Christmas
- One Stop Craft Challenge #210 - A Christmas Carol (White Christmas)

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 60. Geburtstag

This card was a request from a friend whose Uncle turns 60 soon.

I used printed papers from crafts on the net, that I had left over from a previous project.

The truck digi is from Digi Darla and the westie is a freebie from Birds Cards. I coloured them with promarkers: cornflower, denim blue, slate, mustard, poppy, ruby, cool grey 3, cool grey 4, warm grey 3, black, cocoa and pale pink.

The sentiment is computer generated and I added some black pearls to finish it off.

I'm submitting this to:
- Sunday Sketch & Stamp #137 - Sketch (free-choice, I used #72 for this card and flipped it.)
- Hiding in My Craft Room #77 - Anything But Christmas
- Aud Sentiments Challenge - Use Any Sentiment

I used papers from raspberry road for this card, and an image from pollycraft coloured with promarkers: ruby, poppy, lipstick red, burgandy, blush, warm grey 3, slate and black and used a metalic gold marker for the belt buckle.

"Less is More" Week 98 - Anniversary

I was going to do the card for this weeks Less is More anniversary challenge, on a white card base, but I'd never tried inking directly onto kraft before so I thought, what the heck, lets give it a go and I'm reasonably pleased with how it turned out.

I used nesties to emboss the two squares and sponged in the middle one with blue and yellow inks, before stamping the sentiment (from stampin' up) and the image (freebie from some magazine or another) in brown ink and adding three small clear gems to finish. Very easy to do, took far more time thinking about than making! lol!

Vintage Christmas Tree

I used Kaiser Craft design papers and a stamp from Hot of the Press that I got free with Simply Cards and Papercrafts Magazine a few months ago.
