Snowman Card - Lili of the Valley Challenge 42

Lili of the Valley - Challenge 42 is this awesome sketch by Jacqui:

This is my attempt at following it (sorry about the picture quality, no amount of photoshop image sharpening can make my camera take better pictures!):

Let it Snow

A Yule card based on this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You sketch by Kazan.

And also fits in nicely with the challenge from Cupcake Craft Challenges

It's bigger than I usually go, an A4 card folded in half... you can't see very well on the picture unfortunately, but the snowflake is surrounded by a pricking pattern... up close I think it looks amazing.

It's A Mans World...

So I don't have a lot of men in my life - but a friend asked me to make some cards and she does actually have a few male realatives and such, so I decided to try my hand at a few cards for men. 3 birthday cards and 1 that could be a birthday card, or used for something else.
Most of the papers (except thoes mentioned below) were from ones a friend sent me for my birthday (same friend who asked for the batch of cards, incidentally). All the pictures were printed from the computer and coloured with whispers markers. Writing is all outline stickers, except for the Gorllia card which is computer generated.

Paper is printed from Shabby Princess freebie kits. Writing reads: Why so Glum? You can hardly see the grey...

Same paper as above, from Shabby Princess, just enlarged.

Espresso Yourself!

Writing reads: Be a coffee drinking individual - espresso yourself!

So this is my first attempt at a challenge... and probably not my last but I doubt I'll submit them all. Still caardvarks has a challenge for shaped cards... seemed like a good chance to put my coffee addiction to use... so I'm giving this one a go.

The pictures and the writing is computer generated. I used whispers markers to colour.

A set of 6 every day cards I made - never done a set before, but I thought it would be cute... it is, but it was also a pain, lol.

Also made a little box to put them in.

Papers were digital papers that I printed. RPenn Express Yourself. Picture was computer generated. Words are from a stamp, I forget where I got it...

Proof that I haven't gone completely dark side... no pink in sight!

This brown/white/teal card would be perfect for a friend having a hard time.

Quote reads: When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Birthday Card: Abigail Van Buren Quote

A birthday card... ironincally Kerry has been using brown/pink again... thankfully these cards are all being made for a friend and not for myself or I'd start worrying about my sanity!

Quote reads: Wisdom doesn't automaticallycome with old age. Nothing does - except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place. ~ Abigail Van Buren

Shakespeare Quote Thank You Card

OMG Kerry used pink again, on purpose. The world may be coming to an end.

I came across this shakespeare quote while playing in the quote garden and well... it just seemed too good to pass up for a thank you card.

Ribbon is from Laura Ashley, the tulips are a stamp from... I have no idea actually... and the papers were sent to me by a friend in the states, so again, no idea.

Thinking Of You - Brown, Green and Pink

This card with a Brown, Green and Pink colour palette (although this photo doesn't do it justice), could be used for a Birthday or just an every day sort of card.

I'm making cards for a friend at the moment and this is one of them, but I don't think she'll mind me sharing and if she does, I'll just have to keep this one for myself, lol!

Birthday Card for my Uncle

I made this for my Uncles birthday - my Uncle and I have a very snarky relationship, he's my favourite Uncle, but we spends a lot of time snarking, so I thought this was appropriate.

Mothers Day Card

Here is the first card I am posting here.
This card I made for my Grandmother for Mothers Day. I bought some stitching templates and decided it would be cool to use one of them on this card, not 100% perfect, but I'm pleased with how it turned out :)

Welcome

Welcome to my 'creative' blog. Where I will post my well... creative... stuff. Primarily I created this blog to post greetings cards since I took up the hobby a few months ago, there may be the odd other thing on it and the updates probably won't be as freqent as I'd like, but then again, who knows.

So pull up a chair, get a cup of coffee and enjoy.
