A Fairy Happy Birthday

I was sort of naughty this morning... even though I told myself I wasn't going to spend any more money on craft stuff this month I somehow accidentally *cough*okaymaybenot*cough* ended up on Pollycraft

I'd seen cards made with their stamps and just loved them, but hadn't yet purchased any... then I get to the homepage to see an offer for 100 digi's for £9.99, what's a girl to do!? How could I resist!? Well I couldn't... and of course on purchasing and downloading them I immediately had to use one of them *grins* so I decided to combine together a couple of the challenges around the blogosphere this week and this is what I came up with.

Firstly, Flutter By Wednesday challenge #185 called for you to use Bright Colors with your butterfly, fairy or angel.

I combined that with the sketch from the Willow Sketchie Challenge, which also required you to use buttons.

And finally I added some faux stitching for Paper Play Challenges challenge for this week which was 'in stitches' - use stitching either real or fake on your card.

This is the sketch from Willow Sketchie:

And this is my card:

The paper is from my We R Memory Keepers Travel Light pack. The image is of course Pollycraft Crystal Fairies coloured with promarkers. The sentiment is from the stampin' up teeny tiny sentiments set. The cardstock and buttons came from my stash and I finished it off with some faux stitching using my Letraset fine line drawing pen.
