It's Yaar Birthday

I originally printed the background scene on this from Birds Cards for a different challenge, but I didn't have time to make that card, so I decided to use it today. I printed the pirate from Pollycraft to go along with it and coloured them both with promarkers - cornflower, duck egg, china blue, marine, chestnut, henna, sandstone, caramel, buttercup, mustard, canary, blush, lime green, pear green, amber and bright orange, sponging in the sky with light blue pigment ink from papermania.

The papers were freebies from Craft's Beautiful magazine a couple of months ago and I layered it all on blue card, using dimensionals to give the scene and the pirate a little extra lift. The sentiment is computer generated and I added some gems to finish, including one as an earring for my intrepid little pirate :)

I'm submitting this to:
- Passion for Promarkers - Birthays
- Creative Card Crew - Dimension
- Charisma Cardz Challenge #20 - No Flowers Allowed

Read Books & Dream

This weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge #193, is Book Lover - so I decided I'd make a bookmark, because I can never have to many bookmarks, not with all the books I have! Raspberry Roads Summer Goodness pack and the cloudy paper is from Rachel Harper's 'Lets Fly Away' pack. The image is a pollycraft digi coloured with promarkers - lime green, pear green, marsh green, duck egg, sky blue, sandstone, caramel, henna, chestnut, blush and maroon. I made the words with individual letters from a me-to-you alphabet set and added the heart gem in place of her neckplace, punching a hole and adding ribbon to finish.

I'm also submitting this for LEJ Designs Challenge #4 - Anything But A Card.

Computer Easel Card

This weeks challenge on Daring Card Makers was: Going Geek (with a prize from Imagine That - naturally, as a self-confessed geek, I couldn't let this pass without making something! And combining it with C.R.A.F.T Challenge #155 - Easel Card gave me the perfect idea that was too good to pass up!

I copied the text from a reboot screen and edited it for a Birthday themed card and printed, along with a keyboard image. Used black card as my mount, sponged in the blue highlights and stamped and coloured the balloons with a sky blue promaker, adding a couple of brads to hold it in place.

Fun in the Sun

I used the adorable 'Life's a Beach' digi from pollycraft, coloured with promarkers - spice, amber, honeycomb, bright orange, canary, cornflower, and rose pink - and gave it a little sparkle with a gem on the flower - because I couldn't leave the card without any gems, lol.
