Steampunk Birthday Card

Today's card is one I've been half planning in my head for a while... and then several challenges came along this week that helped me decide on the final design.

I knew I wanted to do something with a steampunk theme for a friends birthday, I just needed to find the perfect image and papers. I had planned on ordering some this month but then the last edition of crafts beautiful came with some gorgeous papers by Jenny Ellory and I knew I just had to use them!

I used the Jenny Ellory papers and a fantastic digital image from KennyK after being inspired by the images used at MAWTT's this week. Val Ventura, is coloured with promarkers - Henna, Chestnut, March Green, Pear Green, Spice, Caramel, Dusky Rose and Blush.

Added flowes from petaloo, coloured with dusky rose and marsh green, a flourish I cut ages ago with a sizzix die, from Papermania Hampstead papers and some ribbon and pearls from my stash. The sentiment is Stampin' up and the verse is of course computer generated.

The challenges that I'm entering it for are:
- My Time to Craft #176 - Easel Card
- Moving Along With the Times #143 - Va Va Voom
- Part Time Tuesdays #62 - Flowers
- Simon Says - Use your Favourite tool (my cuttlebug!)
- Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
