Vintage CAS Christmas

Having done all the cards for this years winter holidays - except, arguably the most important, my mothers! - I decided I'd get a leg up on next years, while there are still loads of holiday challenge going on! (I am making an attempt to be more organised in the new year!)

This one uses a piece of paper I've had in my scrap box since last December - not entirely sure where it's from, papermania possible? - layered on red card, with a sentiment from Stampin' Up and an embellishment from a set of vintage embellishments I got for £1! (best find of the season!)

I'm submitting this to:
- Allsorts Challenge Blog #184 - White and Gold, plus One (Red)
- Freshly Made Sketches #65 - Sketch by Linda C.

Birthday Fairy

I used an image from pollycraft, coloured in promarkers: buttercup, canary, blush, vanillia, lemon, mustard, gold, caramel, slate, pastle pink, lilac, lavender and amethyst.

I layered purple card with paper from the born to shop range and the two smaller pieces of purple card with paper from crafts beautiful magazine and a white embossed panel. Adding the ribbon, flowers and gems from my stash to decorate.

I'm submitting this to:
- Just Us Girls #166 - Embossing

Beer Monster

Yes I'm posting a not Yule card in December, shame on me I know ;) - however, a friend's husband had the audacity to be born on x-mas eve! lol!

I used some old papers from a magazine for this card - I can't remember which magazine! - and an image from Pollycraft, coloured with promarkers: slate, amber, honeycomb, spice, mustard, gold, pear green, marsh green, denim blue and blush.

I used spellbinders dies and a hole punch to cut a bunch of circles out of the paper and card I'd used and layered them up and added a sentiment from Flonz and some gems to finish.

I did also punch the border between the top and bottom paper panels with a martha stewart punch, but it got hidden behind everything else - oops!

Happy Holidays Nana

I cut a card base with kraft card and used Kaiser Craft papers again, on this card. The adorable digi image is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps, coloured with promarkers: slate, black amethyst, lilac, lavender, sandstone, caramel, shale, pear green, marsh green, poppy and cornflower.

I printed the 'Happy Holidays' sentiment and used outline stickers for the 'Nana' and embellished with ribbon, gems and a snowflake embellishment from my stash.

I'm submitting this for:

Christmas Greetings

This card was a relief! Seriously, the last few times I sat down at my craft table I completely failed to make anything other than a mess! But finally, I has succeeded!

This is a card for a very old friend of the family. He was our neighbour when I was a kid and somewhat of a surrogate father figure, so it had to be something nice!

I used paper from Kaiser Craft - and an image from TLC Creations, coloured with sandstone, caramel and shale promarkers. The embellishments are these fantastic little vintage embellishments I got for £1 for a pack of about 12 embellishments! Fantastic and they work brilliantly! Then I just finished the card with a little glitter glue for 'snow' on the image and a few gems.

Blue Christmas

I used a dark blue card base, layered with a lighter blue and then white. Stamped the image - which was a freebie I got in some magazine or another last x-mas in blue and coloured with cornflower and china blue. Added the sentiment from the same set and a colour of gems to finish.

I am submitting this for: - Addicted to CAS #2 - Bauble

Cocoa Wishes

It feels like ages since I've been on here - well, it has been ages! A month in fact! I was away dog sitting for 2 weeks and then the day after I got home I hurt my back and that made sitting at the craft desk a no go, but now I can get back to my stash *clings to stash* and finish up the last few x-mas cards on my list!

This card was made using papers from quick cards magazine and an image and sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, coloured with promarkers: caramel, sandstone, shale, rose pink, pastel pink, soft peach, tea green and soft green and embellished with just a few gems.

I didn't think about it at the time, so it doesn't say 'sister' on it but actually, this might be perfect for my sister, this or one I did before I went away that was equally pink-y-fied, lol!
