What do you call...?
I used friends forever Christmas Tale papers on this card, distressing the edges with the edge of my scissors, scrunching, then flattening them out again and sponging on some blank ink. The image is from Pollycraft, coloured with promarkers: lipstick red, poppy, ruby, slate, gold and blush. The sentiment is computer generated and I added a few punched holly leaves and gems to embellish.

It's Your Birthday
It's my cousins birthday on new years eve and he's recently taken up photography professionally, so this image from Pollycraft seemed like the perfect choice, coloured with promarkers: pear green, marsh green, olive green, denim blue, cornflower, vanilla, blush, mustard, spice, terracotta, cool grey 3, buttercup and slate.
I used papers from We R Memory Keepers layered on kraft cardstock and some twine and gems to embellish. The sentiment is from Papermania.

- Sketch Saturday #238 - Sketch

Kitty Cat Christmas
I used papers printed from papercraft inspirations magazine and a image from digi doodle shop coloured with promarkers: lilac, lavender, amethyst, sandstone, caramel, warm grey 3, cool grey 3, cool grey 4, shale, rose pink, vanilla, and almond. Some lace and ribbon from my stash along some flowers and pearls to embellish finished it off.

- Craftyhazelnuts Christmas Challenge #103 - Anything Goes for Christmas
You're Sweeter than Candy Canes
I cut a red panel, then layered it with more white, to fit onto my base card, printed the image (from paper smooches) and computer generated sentiment, colouring with promarkers: lipstick red, poppy and ruby. I scored three lines into the white layer of card with my score board and added the central image on dimensions pads, adding some gems to finish.
I'm submitting this to:

365 Cards - Day 287 (Happy and Sad)
It's opposites week on 365 Cards and today's opposites are 'happy and sad'. I pondered this for a while and a quote popped into my head... and then I pondered some more over what to do with the quote! I supposed it could have been used for a sympathy card or something like that, but it didn't quite suit what I wanted, so I started digging through my digital stamps to see what inspiration struck and eventually this is what I came up with:
The card and matching bookmark both use the same image from Digi Darla and I added the computer generated sentiment over the top in Open Office. I love to read and so do a lot of my friends and thinking about how a really good book can make me happy, but also make me feel sad when it's over, it seemed a good fit for the quote!
I coloured the images with promarkers: Sandstone, caramel, vanilla, blush, buttercup, mustard, gold, china blue, sky blue, poppy, ruby, marsh green, forest green, slate and chestnut.
I layered both images onto yellow card (another deliberate choice to use a 'happy' colour and then blue in my image as in 'feeling blue' - I may have over thought it, lol!) and then onto the kraft bases. To the card I added some button twine, a button and some gems as well as a pocket inside to hold a gift card (to a book store of course!) and to the bookmark, I punched a whole and added some ribbon.
