Yesterday I posted the card I made for my friends little boy. Today, I have the one I made for her equally adorable soon to be 4yr old daughter.
Much to my dismay, she is a proper little loves all things pink girl - her Mummy and Aunty have a lot to answer for, lol! - so I of course had to use pink on the card. I in fact, had to go buy some pink card just for this purpose (I didn't have any at all!)
They are going on a family holiday to Disney World later this year and so Minnie and Mickey are currently the best things since ever... so this is what I came up with for her card.
I discovered upon going to make this card that I have nothing in my stash suitable for a four year old girl! So the papers were printed from from the Digital Card fun site - lifesavers! - and the image is a colouring in page from the interwebs (found through google images), scaled and coloured with promarkers.
The stamp is from well... somewhere (I'm really bad at remembering where clear sentiment stamps come from!) The ribbon, gems and button came from my stash - in fact the button came from a brand new 500G jar of mixed buttons I got in the mail just this morning - absolutely fantastic, totally worth the £6 it cost from Amazon.

Gameboy!
One of my friends has two children with birthdays in January and so I sat down today to make a card for her little boy - an utterly adorable soon to be 6 year old who's very attached to his Nintendo DS... unfortunately I could see no good way to make a card from a DS (all the buttons are inside!) but when I was younger the popular handheld was the gameboy and one of those I could do, so it will have to be close enough!
I'd been planning to go with yellow - the colour my old gameboy was! - but decided instead to go with this weeks challenge over at Color Throwdown, #173: Basic Black/Real Red/Basic Gray - I think it works pretty well!
Made entirely from cardstock, the black and grey both from scraps left over from other projects - the 'Happy Birthday' Sentiment is outline stickers coloured black and a few more outline stickers used on the buttons. The 'speaker' in the corner was also done with black marker.

Sketch N Stash Challenge 78 to make a card using the sketch below and Passion for Promarkers Week 130 to make a thank you card.
This is the sketch:
This is my card:
Along will following the sketch, Sketch N Stash requires that you use some new or neglected from your stash... New things on my card... I have paper from my most recently acquired paper pack, We R Memory Keepers, Travel Light range.
The stamp is also only a couple of weeks old, from The Floral Collection designed by Jenny Ellory. And so are the flowers, my new Petaloo colour me crazy flowers only came in the mail a few days ago and are coloured with Promarkers: Amethyst and Dusky Rose.
I also have some 'negelected' stash in there, with the ribbon that I think came off some PJs last xmas and the charm which along with some of it's friends has been sitting in my embellishment box for more than a year.

Mojo Monday - 222
Two cards in one day - I will never keep up this level of posting, but I was on Mojo Monday - I love their sketches, I have a saved folder full of them for when I need some inspiration! - but I've never participated before.
This is the sketch:
This is my card:
For some reason my camera refuses to take decent pictures today *sigh* so the colours don't show as brightly as they actually are...
The papers are Papermania Birdsong, the sentiment comes from a free stamp set I got in a magazine, as does the butterfly... (different magazines), the flowers are Petaloo Color Me Crazy, coloured with promarkers and the ribbon and gems came from my stash.

356 Cards: Day 307 Super Sketch Sunday
Happy New Year everyone!
I'm determined to take part in more card challenges this year - and use this blog more! So in that spirit, the challenge yesterday on 356 Cards was a sketch - I got some new crafty supplies for Yule and immediately knew I wanted to put some of my new Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers to use!
This is the sketch:
This is my card:
I used a pre-scored card base, some green cardstock from my scrap box, the paper is from the Papermania Birdsong pack, the flowers are Petaloo coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is from a sticker sheet I've had in my stash for *ages*
Unfortunately no matter how many times I took the picture it just didn't take well, but this is certainly the best of the bunch!
