Pink and White

PSST - LAST CHANCE FOR BLOG CANDY!

Am feeling somewhat improved, but still too much activity tends to send me back peddling, so I think I'll be taking it easy for a few days yet... still, I was able to get one card done today at least.

I'm not, I confess entirely happy with it. Something is... missing, or well, I don't know really something just doesn't work for me, but I'm not sure what, or why...

I used a generic white card base and stampin' up pink pirouette to layer. The DP is from jillibean soup – homemade 6 bean soup and the image is from pollycraft, coloured with my promarkers: honeycomb, spice, terracotta, blush, vanilla, coral, pastel pink, soft pink, rose pink, dusky rose, cerise, and pear green. I used a mft fishtale banner die to cut the image and the script embossing folder for the background panel. Adding a little twine and some gems for embellishments. The sentiment is from stampin' up.

I'm submitting this for:
- Digital Tuesday Challenge #198 - Pink and white
- Paper Crafting Journey - Bingo (Gems, Embossing, Ribbon/Twine)
- CAS(E) this Sketch! #16 - Sketch

Alles Liebe zum Vatertag

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

Still feeling so very ill, but I was so very tired of sitting still that I just had to get something constructive done... so this is a card for a friend's dad for fathers day.

I used a mix of papers that were sent to me by a friend a few years ago so I'm not sure of all the sources, one of them was the paper shelter... and I layered it on navy blue card from papermill direct.

The image is from pollycraft, coloured with my promarkers: cinnamon, caramel, sandstone, ruby, poppy, cornflower blue, denim blue, cool grey 3, warm grey 2 and warm grey 1.

I cut two stars in from some of the DP and used some twine and a computer generated sentiment.

I'm submitting this card for:
- Digi Darla's Challenge #50 - Food for Thought
- Seems a Little Sketch #33 - Sketch
- Digi Makeover Challenge #76 - Anything Goes
- Craftroom Challenge - Something For A Man
- Stampavie and More #187 - Lots of Layers

Card Crafter's Circle #63 - Teddybears on Parade

This week at Card Crafter's Circle our theme is:

Teddybears

We're sponsored by the fabulous StampArt Design by Kathryne, who is generously offering 4 of her fabulous digi stamps to our winner - and she has a wonderful selection to choose from!

Kathryne was also generous enough to let the DT play with some of her images and I was lucky enough to get this adorably little guy - Little Bear Watering Can Friend - to work with this week.

Isn't he just the cutest thing? And, as a bonus, he comes with that fab sentiment!

I coloured the delightful little bear, with my promarkers: cinnamon, caramel, sandstone, pear green, marsh green, olive green, duck egg, pastel blue and khaki.

The papers from from the New Leaf paper Pack by Mindy Terasawa, layered on brown card from papermill direct. I embellished simply with twine and pearls.

Don't forget to drop over to Card Crafter's Circle to submit your entry and see the fabulous cards made by the other DT ladies!

Blog Candy Reminder

Have been busy in bed being nauseous all weekend, but I finally managed to drag myself out of bed long enough today to get at least one card done (which will be posted on Friday, as it's my DT card for Card Crafter's Circle!) but I thought, while I was on blogger, I'd post a quick reminder for my blog candy!

The candy ends in ONE WEEKS TIME

February 26th at 1600/4PM UK Time! I will pick a random winner at some time (hopefully not to long!) after that!

Happy Birthday

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

I cut a base card from navy card and layered up with teal card from papermill direct. The paper is from jillibean. And I used two cuttlebug embossing folders.

The image is from milk coffee, coloured with my promarkers: marine, duck egg, cool aqua, honeycomb, spice, terracotta, blush, cinnamon and caramel.

Added a petaloo flower and a button, pearls and a sentiment from stampin' up, cut with fishtale dies from MFT.

I'm submitting this to:
- Flourishes, FLLCFEB13 - Pick 1 (see below)
- Created With Love #28 - Birthday (die cut & embossing)
- Charisma Cardz Challenge #6 - Anything Goes
- The ABC Challenge - H is for Happy Birthday

Card Crafts Circle #62 - Paint the Town Red

This week over at Card Crafters Circle, our challenge is:

PAINT THE TOWN RED

We want to see lots of RED on your cards!

This week we're excited to have Digi Darla Designs sponsoring us!

The winner will receive 5 of their fabulous images! They've got such an amazing selection, I almost don't envy the winner having to decide between them all, but it's a fantastically generous prize and the winner will be very lucky to have them!

I used Digi Darla's Crissy and Umbrella for my card, which is such a sweet little image and colours beautifully.

I coloured the image with my promarkers: ruby, poppy, lipstick red, caramel, shale, cool grey 3, black, rose pink, blush, pale pink and soft peach. Used papers from raspberry road layered on red card from papermill direct and embellished with a little twine and some gems. The sentiment is from stampin' up.

Pop on over to Card Crafters Circle to see the fabulous cards by the other DT ladies and submit your own entry!

Male Birthday Cards

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

As I seem to have come down with a slight cold, I'm busy sneezing my head off today, which is in no way conductive to getting anything crafty done, but I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made last week and didn't post.

I pulled a couple of all nighters while my grandmother was sick and in between times when she was sleeping, I thought I might as well be productive and work on a couple of cards a friend had requested.

The first one is for a 40th birthday - and uses DIY Chester from Pollycraft!

I coloured him with my promarkers: cool grey 4, cool grey 3, warm grey 2, warm grey 1, ruby, poppy, sandstone and caramel. The paper is from Fancypants Designs 'The Good Life' pack on a black card base. The sentiment is computer generated and I added twine and gems to embellish.

The second one is for a 10 year old boy who loves maths!

I really ended up liking this one, but first, I wracked my brains for weeks... (no, seriously, weeks!) I didn't have anything 'mathy' in my stamps or digi stamp collections... never mind in my papers! But once I got my hands on Authentique's Curiosity paper pad, that was at least one of the two taken care of!

A cursory look through my digi stamps and I was still wracking my brain until I came across this 'Casper too Cool for School' digi from Pollycraft. He wasn't very 'mathy' but the paper would take care of that! I coloured him with my promarkers: black, slate, cool grey 4, cool grey 3, warm grey 2, warm grey 1, spice, mustard, gold, buttercup, yellow, vanilla, blush, marine, china blue and denim blue.

The sentiment is computer generated and I added a few gems to embellish.
