Second Spring

Just Us Girls had the word 'Autumn' as their inspiration this week and as it's my favourite season, I had to join in! I love the starting of the dark nights, the trees changing, the crisp weather that makes the leaves crunch under your feet (when it's not just wet, lol!)

The papers are from First Editions New Leaf pack. The sentiment and leaves are from Sweet and Sassy, I used my cameo to fussy cut the leaves and coloured them with my promarkers. And of course because I couldn't resist a few gems snuck on at the end :D

One Martini, Two Martini, Three Martini... Floor!

I won this stamp last week from Sassy Studio Designs, isn't she awesome? And appropriate for so many of my friends! lol! I coloured her with my promarkers and popped her into a polaroid frame.

I used papers from Jen Hadfield's Pebbles pack (I picked it up last week in TK Max, where I spent a good half hour narrowing the six packs I wanted to buy, down to just two! Damn my bank account for not being willing to let me buy all the paper! lol!)

Added a computer generated sentiment, a little martini glass (everything was cut on my cameo of course) and added a few gems to finish it off.

Sketch

Sun, Sea, Sand, Relax!

Summer has disappeared again here in NI, so I've been making this while looking out my window to a cold, miserable sunday! Oh well!

The image for this one, came from Sweet and Sassy and was coloured with my ProMarkers and a little light sponging on the sky. The papers are from Authentique's Fresh Collection and is layered on grey card from the paper mill. The sentiment words were cut on my cameo as were the two little shells and I added four pearls to finish it off.

Java Great Day!

Anyone who is a semi-regular visitor to my blog probably can't have failed to notice that I am a bit (a lot) of a coffee addict. It's my go to option for relaxing, regardless of time of day (no 11pm is not to late for coffee!) a nice cup of coffee and a few minutes of peace (even better if it also comes with either craft time or a book!)

I won this gorgeous stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs a few weeks ago - I got to pick my own and this seemed an obvious choice, because it's very me! (And more than a few of my friends are also coffee addicts so this will go down well with them too!)

The stamp was coloured of course with my promarkers and the sentiment was computer generated. I used papers from the Recollections Charming paper pack and layered it on brown card. Cut the coffee beans on my cameo and added a couple of brown pearls to finish it off, because you know I have to have gems or pearls, lol!

Relax...

It's almost the right weather for this card today, we actually have a little bit of sunshine - not sure how long it'll last! but it's there atm!

I cut the sunburst card base on my cameo and backed it with paper from Fancy Pants Designs, The Good Life pack. The bear lounging so comfortably is from Just Ink Lined and was coloured with my promarkers. The sentiment was also cut on my cameo. I left it otherwise embellishment free - very odd for me not to use gems or pearls! lol!

Shoes!

I am not a very girly-girl (this will shock no one I realise) and while I like shoes, I don't actually own that many and of the ones I do I spent at least 85% of my time in my trainers and most of the other 15% in my walking boots, only occasionally wearing ballet pumps or even more occasionally high heels on like really special occasions - this drives my sister mad! lol!

But I know lots of girlfriends of mine who are shoe mad and have one in particular in mind with this card! I used a sentiment block from bugaboo and coloured the image with my promarkers and inked up the edges. The paper is from Recollections Festival Floral paper pack layered on purple card.

I cut a couple of shoes on my cameo and added a little glitter and some gems to finish the card off.

Tri-Shutter Card

I had a lot of fun with this card, if you count banging my head against a wall for a solid hour, fun, lol! Okay maybe not a solid hour, but it felt like it! Still, I think it's turned out pretty well!

I used a bugaboo image and sentiment, coloured it with my promarkers and used glitter glue on the bubbles. The card base is cut from rich razzleberry card from Stampin' Up and the papers are also Stampin' Up, from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack.

I cut pretty much everything, except the butterflies with my cameo, the butterflies were punched and I added some gems to finish

We're The Perfect Blend

A wonderful friend of mine, who knows my coffee addiction well sent me this awesome Latte Love set from Fiskars a few months ago and this is to my eternal shame, the first time it's seen ink!

I cut a card base in brown and used paper from My Minds Eye. Coloured the stamps in with my promarkers and added a little heart button, some twine and a couple of little gems. It literally took me longer to decide which of the coffee stamps to use first, than to make the whole card, lol!

Don't Let Life Ruffle Your Feathers!

This was the other card I got made yesterday afternoon, not for any particular challenge this time, but I've been wanting to use the feather stamp since I got it and finally got around to it!

I feel like this should be my advice to myself this last year or so! It's been one thing after another and i've let things get in the way of things I really enjoy, or make things I enjoy feel not so enjoyable! I'm trying to do better on that front - it's an on going thing! - but maybe I shall make this my new motto!

The feathers and sentiment were freebies from a Hot of the Press set I got in a magazine, that I've been dying to use!

I used some freebie paper from another magazine and popped it on some dimension pads to give it a little depth. The humming bird was cut of course on my cameo and I added just a hint of the same blue I used to stamp the feathers to the edge of his wings and finally of course, gems to finish, because we all know I can't resist gems or pearls!

please sir, can I have s'more?

Because I can't resist a good pun! Or a bad one! lol! And becase CASology's cue card for the week is 'EAT'

I cut the s'more on my silhouette and printed the sentiment. I used a kraft card base and because I couldn't help myself, added a few little pearls. Took more time waiting for the s'more to cut than anything else, lol!

I used Jillibean papers, from the Apple Cheddar Soup, pack, layered on brown card. Fussy cut petey, with my cameo - my first successful fussy cut with my new toy! - and coloured him and the background with my promarkers. Added more papers and sentiment inside and the haystack (also coloured with my promarkers), both to decorate and help the easel card stand up!

Warm colours make me think of summer and with summer in full swing, my mind is full of images of sun, surfing and sand and perhaps more importantly cocktails! So this week I used Pauly in Paradise and the Summer Surfin Fun sentiment set.
















This is my card. The image coloured with my promarkers. I used papers from fancy pants designs and card from the papermill. Die cutting some flowers and a flourish and finishing with gems.
