Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 40. Geburtstag

I made this card for a friend of a friend - the image is from Kenny K, coloured with my Promarkers and the sentiment is computer generated.

The papers were from a new pack I got a couple of weeks ago but hadn't used yet, American Crafts Crate Paper Route 66. I cut the paper and image on my silhouette using 'stitched' square/circle files, layered it all up on black card and cut the stars on my silhouette too.

I'm submitting this for:

- Crafting By Designs - 3 or More Layers
- Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge #33 - Use Something New
- Inspiration Destination #46 - Anything Goes

New Home

A friend of mine is moving into a new place next week, so I thought I'd quickly throw together a little card, to wish her luck in her new home. Hopefully my german is up to snuff, lol!

I used a cute little image from becky's place and added the sentiment. I coloured it with my promarkers. The papers are from papermania's happy days paper pack, mounted on teal card and a finished it with a few little pearls.

I'm submitting this for:
- Retro Sketches #95 - Sketch
- Craft Your Passion #194 - Something New

Kraft and Medium Blue

My plans to see the hobbit tonight were somewhat waylaid, so I thought I might as well use the time productively and get another card in. Maybe if the nausea holds off a while longer, I'll go nuts and do another after this.

I used a freebie image, from Blackberry Jelly and coloured it in shades of blue, before adding glitter to the balls. I used paper from papermania's happy day set and layered everything up on craft card. The sentiment is again, computer generated.

I'm submitting this for:
- Freshly Made Sketches #116 - Sketch
- Dynamic Duos #83 - Kraft and Medium Blue

Jingle Bell Rock

Another xmas card today, this time with an image from Bugaboo. The challenge this week on Catch the Bug was for 'favourite christmas song' and well, mine is a toss up between Fairytale of New York or Jingle Bell Rock, so I've gone with Jingle Bell Rock and used this lovely image of DeDe, coloured with promarkers.

I used paper from dovecraft (yes again, lol) and layered it on red card from papermill direct. Th sentiment is computer generated and I used snowflake embellishments and a few gems to finish it off.

I'm submitting this too:
- Catch the Bug - Favourite Christmas Song
- Sketch Saturday - Use any sketch after #215 (I used #217)
- Crafty Catz #211 - Anything Goes

Bear in Snow

Two cards in one day - wowza, been a while since that's happened! I'm sure it'd be three, but I really should go and make dinner after I post this one, lol!

I used the cute benson, from pollycraft for this card, coloured with promarkers and inked around him with blue ink, before adding glitter glue for a snow effect.

The paper is from dovecraft (it's possible I've been using it quite a bit since I bought it on Monday, but its just such a cute pack!) and the sentiment is computer generated. I embellished with just a few little gems.

I'm submitting this for:
- Sketch 'N Stash #127 - Sketch
- Craft your Passion #192 - Let it Snow
- Fab 'n' Funky Challenges #197 - Snowflakes
- Simon Says... - Let it Snow
- Moving Along with the Times - Walking in a winter wonderland

Frohe Festtage!

I picked a lovely image from Angel's Landing for my card today, added the sentiment around it on the computer and printed and coloured it with my promarkers. The paper is from dovecraft, layered on dark green card from papermill direct. And I used twine and pearls to embellish.

Male Birthday Cards

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

As I seem to have come down with a slight cold, I'm busy sneezing my head off today, which is in no way conductive to getting anything crafty done, but I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made last week and didn't post.

I pulled a couple of all nighters while my grandmother was sick and in between times when she was sleeping, I thought I might as well be productive and work on a couple of cards a friend had requested.

The first one is for a 40th birthday - and uses DIY Chester from Pollycraft!

I coloured him with my promarkers: cool grey 4, cool grey 3, warm grey 2, warm grey 1, ruby, poppy, sandstone and caramel. The paper is from Fancypants Designs 'The Good Life' pack on a black card base. The sentiment is computer generated and I added twine and gems to embellish.

The second one is for a 10 year old boy who loves maths!

I really ended up liking this one, but first, I wracked my brains for weeks... (no, seriously, weeks!) I didn't have anything 'mathy' in my stamps or digi stamp collections... never mind in my papers! But once I got my hands on Authentique's Curiosity paper pad, that was at least one of the two taken care of!

A cursory look through my digi stamps and I was still wracking my brain until I came across this 'Casper too Cool for School' digi from Pollycraft. He wasn't very 'mathy' but the paper would take care of that! I coloured him with my promarkers: black, slate, cool grey 4, cool grey 3, warm grey 2, warm grey 1, spice, mustard, gold, buttercup, yellow, vanilla, blush, marine, china blue and denim blue.

The sentiment is computer generated and I added a few gems to embellish.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 60. Geburtstag

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

A 60th birthday card for a friends Mum, she said she likes fairies and earthy-tones... so I've used papers from the New Leaf paper pack matted on kraft card and all mounted on a brown card base.

The stunning fairy image is from Milk Coffee. I've coloured the image with my promarkers: buttercup, lemon, canary, yellow, mustard, pear green, marsh gren, meadow green, lime green, soft green, tea green, honeycomb, spice, terracotta, and blush.

I didn't have any ribbon that I liked the look of with the paper, so I cut three lengths of thick twine and used them instead. The flourish is cut with a sizzix die. The sentiment is computer generated and I added flowers and pearls to finish it off.

I'm submitting this for:

- Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Pearls and Swirls
- Tuesday Throwdown #134 - Anything Goes

Alles Liebe zum Muttertag

PSST - I HAVE BLOG CANDY!

When a friend saw yesterdays mothers day card, she was reminded she needed one too, so asked me to make one (and a fathers day card, but that will be for another day!). Her Mum enjoys gardening, so I used this sweet little image from Pollycraft, coloured with my promarkers: pear green, marsh green, olive green, manderin, bright orange, honeycomb, amber, gold, mustard, shale, caramel, warm grey 2, blush, vanilla and soft peach.

The papers are from the new leaf paper pack and (although the picture insists on making it look black!) the base card is a dark brown, from papermill direct. The sentiment is computer generated, I punched a butterfly from the paper and added pearls from my stash to complete it.

I'm submitting this for:
- Freshly Made Sketches #72 - A Sketch by Cindy
- Moving Along With the Times - Only Girls Allowed!!
- Chocolate, Coffee and Cards #32 - Hobbies

I used paper from Authentique's 'curiosity' pack on this card, layered on a black card base, which I cut with card from papermill direct.

The image is a fabulous digi from Mo'd Digital Pencil and I coloured it with my promarkers: blush, vanilla, buttercup, lemon, mustard, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, cool grey 3, cool grey 4, slate, black and caramel.

The sentiment is computer generated and I added two grey buttons, sewed through with some yellow thread, as my only embellishments.

A friend asked me to make a 75th Birthday card for a man and this is what I came up with.

I printed digi papers from Shabby Princess and layered on maroon card. The image is from Beccy's Place, coloured with promarkers: warm grey 1, warm grey 2, cool grey 3, cool grey 4, sandstone, caramel, shale, pear green, marsh green, olive green, gold and spice.

The sentiment is computer generated and I used a leaf sticker, button/twine and some gems to embellish.

This card was a request from a friend whose Uncle turns 60 soon.

I used printed papers from crafts on the net, that I had left over from a previous project.

The truck digi is from Digi Darla and the westie is a freebie from Birds Cards. I coloured them with promarkers: cornflower, denim blue, slate, mustard, poppy, ruby, cool grey 3, cool grey 4, warm grey 3, black, cocoa and pale pink.

The sentiment is computer generated and I added some black pearls to finish it off.
